Envisioning a community where every interested student has equitable access to health science education and career pathways.
More About Us
Founded initially as the Helena Health Science Advisory Board in 2024, our mission has always been the same: enrich and enhance health science learning in the greater Helena area by providing top-notch connections, resources, and insights to students and teachers.
Every academic year, we strive to host several themed “fusion events” that meet each aspect of our triple-pronged mission. Fusion events “fuse” post-secondary opportunities, career exposure, hands-on skill development, and networking to make sure our students are equipped to become excellent health professionals. Most fusion events have a theme chosen with feedback from student representatives on the Board of Directors and former fusion event attendees. The goal is to provide fun and engaging events that truly captivate and inspire the next generation of health professionals in Montana. In 2025, we hosted several fusion events based on topics from neurology and cognitive science to sports medicine, dentistry, cardiovascular systems, public health, and emergency medicine.
At the core of the Helena Health Science Alliance is a dedication to student leadership and empowerment. Since the Alliance was founded by a student, there will always be student representation on the Board of Directors. We truly believe that youth have the power to enact change and be the architects of their own career trajectories. Even if student attendees decide not to pursue a career in healthcare after their graduation, we at least hope that they feel welcomed, empowered, and inspired to lead after their experience with the Helena Health Science Alliance.
