PRESIDENT & FOUNDER
Charles Snellman
Charlie Snellman is a Johns Hopkins University student pursuing a double degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Cello Performance, with a minor in Civic Life. Originally from Helena, Montana, Charlie founded the Helena Health Science Alliance out of passion for education and a love of science. As an active HOSA-Future Health Professionals leader in high school, Charlie was inspired by his peers and educators to give back to his community. Charlie brings experience in healthcare and education policy through legislative research, policy writing, and testimony, and has served in local, statewide, and national student leadership roles, including representing Montana in the U.S. Senate Youth Program. He is passionate about health equity, education, and the role of the arts in human wellbeing. His current research interests focus on civic education in rural states and the role of AI in pediatric emergency response. In his free time, Charlie enjoys keeping up with new developments in biology and politics, drinking good espresso, listening to new music, and skiing whenever and wherever there’s good snow!

Michaela Parker
Michaela has over 20 years of experience as an occupational therapist. She has dedicated much of her career to supporting children and families through pediatric and school-based occupational therapy. Her clinical work focused on collaboration with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote student success and independence. After earning her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of Montana in 2025, she has recently transitioned into higher education, where she is passionate about preparing the next generation of occupational therapy assistant practitioners. Currently, she serves as the Director of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Helena College, where she engages in program development and student training. This new role has been an exciting chapter in her career as she is committed to advancing the profession and equipping future occupational therapy assistants with the skills needed to support diverse populations.

Katie Glueckert
Katie is a registered dental hygienist with a unique background in healthcare, public health, and workforce development. Katie earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene from Eastern Washington University. She practiced clinical dental hygiene for six years before accepting the role of Oral Health Program Specialist for the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services. She joined the Montana Hospital Association in March of 2021 as the South Central Montana Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Director. Katie is passionate about utilizing innovative approaches to recruit, train and retain a health professions workforce committed to serving underserved populations. Katie and her husband have two young sons and spend their time enjoying Montana’s great outdoors.

Liliana Hanson
Liliana is channeling her passion for people into her nursing major and psychology minor at the University of Utah. Raised in Helena, her healthcare journey started early through local student programs, leading her to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She is currently working to become a certified Medical Assistant. Liliana is dedicated to a life of helping others through medicine and can't wait to inspire Helena’s next generation of medical professionals. As our Director of Communication, she absolutely loves getting fully involved with the team and using her voice to connect people.

Tanner Duncan has dedicated the past 20 years to shaping young minds in the classroom, bringing energy, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning to every student he teaches. When summer arrives, Tanner channels that same passion into guiding fly fishing trips. A devoted husband and proud father to his 10-year-old son, Tanner values time spent with family above all else. Together, they embrace the Montana lifestyle—skiing in the winter, hunting and fishing throughout the seasons, and making the most of the rugged beauty that surrounds them. Whether in the classroom, on the river, or in the mountains, Tanner leads with enthusiasm, patience, and a true love for what he does.

ALYSSA JOHNSON
Trauma Systems Specialist
Alyssa Johnson, BSN, MSN, is a distinguished trauma and emergency nursing professional with over 25 years of experience. Currently, she serves as the Trauma System Manager for the State of Montana and Principal Investigator for the MT Violent Death Reporting System. Alyssa holds a BSN from Montana State University and an MSN in Leadership in Healthcare Systems from Regis University. In her role, she oversees the development of Montana's trauma system, performs trauma facility designation reviews, and supervises the trauma registry, MT Violent Death Reporting System, and Statewide Injury Prevention Program. Alyssa is board certified as an emergency nurse and trauma certified, with prior licensure as an EMT in Montana and Alaska. Her leadership roles include: Immediate past-chair, National Trauma Manager Council and Member, ACS COT Rural Advisory CouncilAlyssa is actively involved in redefining national clinical practice guidelines for rural practitioners. Her contributions to trauma care include developing the Montana Inter facility Blood Network, which has garnered national attention and earned the 2024 National Peregrine Award for Trauma Innovation.

DARBI LINDER
Sarah Urban is a biology teacher at Capital High School in Helena, Montana. She is currently in her 24th year of teaching and has a bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology from Western Washington University, a Master in Teaching degree from Whitworth College, and a Master Certificate of Environmental Health from University of Montana. Sarah’s role in HHSA is to help with student engagement and loves how the organization gives students access to health care professionals! She is also a National Board-Certified Teacher in Adolescent and Young Adult Science (Biology focus). Sarah was the 2023 Montana Science Awardee for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. 2020 NABT Montana Biology Teacher of the year, “Let’s Talk about Great Teachers” Award recipient, Helena Education Foundation Distinguished Teacher. When Sarah is away from “her kids” at school (all 120 of them), she spends time running, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Eric, and three teenage children (mostly at swim meets!)
Darbi Linder is a Career Development Specialist for the Montana Department of Labor and Industry. She draws upon her classroom experience, as a former science teacher, to champion student engagement, self-awareness, and personal growth as foundations for professional success. Darbi is dedicated to supporting systems that prioritize self-discovery and skill development, ensuring students make confident transitions into the workforce. As a former health sciences student and medical professional, she is passionate about supporting the healthcare talent pipeline. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping up with her family, cheering on the Montana State Bobcats, and exploring Montana outdoors.
Cheryl Ravenscroft is the Director of K–12 Partnerships at Helena College, where she leads collaborative efforts that expand college access and career exploration opportunities for Helena area youth. She serves as the academic advisor for high school dual enrollment students, supporting them as they navigate college coursework and build confidence in their postsecondary goals. As the college’s community liaison for career exploration activities for students in grades 6–12, Cheryl partners with schools, educators, and industry leaders to create hands‑on experiences that help students discover a wide range of future pathways. She is passionate about empowering young people and especially loves introducing students to non‑traditional or previously unconsidered careers that spark new possibilities. Outside of work, Cheryl spends her summers kayaking across Montana, her winters skiing, and never turns down the chance to enjoy live music or a great concert.
